It’s an odd feeling to wake up one morning and realize you're standing at a precipice, teetering unsteadily on the edge, minutes away from plummeting head on into an existential crisis. The unknown looming before you like vast, uncharted sea. The weight of uncertainty flashing through your mind pressing down heavily, slowly building in your chest, casting a looming shadow over even the simplest of daily tasks. In this moment, everything around you seems to have taken on a new, unfamiliar hue, leaving you grappling with a sense of unease and questioning the very essence of your existence. — Ok, perhaps "odd" doesn't quite cut it; "terrifying" would be a more appropriate word.
You know what else is terrifying? Realizing this is not the first time you’ve woken up with this life-altering terror. That sinking feeling of dread that has now become all too familiar and you've lost count after several episodes. A disturbing pattern that now lingers in your mind every time you open your eyes to face the day ahead. — This my friends, seems like the essence of our existence - a complex tapestry woven with moments of joy, sorrow, and everything in between; terror not excluded. An intimate dance of emotions and experiences that shape our journey through this enigmatic experience we refer to as life.
It’s during these moments of distress that I find myself undergoing significant personal growth and confront challenges that unearth the hidden truths of my souls journey. Calm waters do not prompt deep introspection; it’s only through the turbulent storms that we can unravel the mysteries of our life’s journey. The greatest challenge in life is not only about embracing the good, joyous, and memorable moments; it lies in our ability to accept and navigate through the not-so-good, less joyous, and forgettable experiences that also shape our journey.
Have you ever taken a second to ponder why it sometimes feels as though life consistently presents us with sour lemons? Lemons that you wouldn't even consider making lemonade with, no matter how much sugar you add to sweeten the tartness or taste of rot. It feels that way because we are always focused on the negative. We humans tend to fixate on negative aspects of situations because they bring about unpleasant feelings that we naturally want to avoid. Anything that doesn't align with our preferences tends to capture our attention and we strive to make adjustments. However, since many of these circumstances are beyond our control, they tend to dominate our thoughts consistently. In our daily lives, we often find ourselves preoccupied with questions such as "how can I change it," "how can I adjust the outcome to better serve my needs or wants," and "how can I just forget and move on." These repeated thoughts revolve around altering external circumstances to avoid pain or discomfort, encompassing a relentless cycle of seeking control and understanding. When we are experiencing positive events or circumstances we don’t cling to them because they make us feel good therefore we accept them, give thanks and move on. We embrace these experiences and unfortunately that is what makes the negative situations so entrapping. It’s becoming quite clear to me that life’s journey, at least for me personally, is all about finding joy and acceptance in the midst of difficult experiences and treating them with the same positivity as the good moments. While this notion might initially strike you as foolish, a deeper reflection reveals its profound significance.
I have recently made a decision to venture into this territory by creating a blog. This digital platform will serve as a valuable resource for not only myself but also for those who wish to join me on this journey. — “An Artist’s life.” An artistic point of view providing valuable insights navigating the unpredictable waters of life's many challenges. Whether it's finding beauty in unexpected places or approaching obstacles with creativity and imagination, my perspective will hopefully offer a unique lens through which to view the world and its complexities.
